The project “Strange Voyage” is a result of a trip that the artist Helga Oskarsdottir went on to rekindle the relationship she had with Amsterdam twenty years ago when she was a student at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
As an appreciation for all the wonderfull things she had found on her previous voyages through the citiy, she put 40 pieces of monocrome
paintings wich she sees as parameters and undifined signs into the urban landscape.
Helga investigetes the fate of these items a week after she puts them out there and discovers that most of them have gone into orbit and
it’s very unikely that the fate of those pieces of art will ever be discovered.
Helga will show the result of her experiment in the Zoete-broodjes and at the opening the artist Gabriel Kousbroek will collaborate with her
in an Action that they heve been working on together especially for this event.
